Version 1.1. Last updated 25 May 2026.
This Cookie Policy explains how Lumis Inspira Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at christianunion.co.uk and its subdomains (including admin.christianunion.co.uk).
It does not apply to our mobile app. Data collected within the app is described in our Privacy Policy.
When we use the word "cookies" in this policy, we mean cookies and any other technologies that store or read information on your device in a similar way, including browser local storage.
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. Cookies allow a website to recognise your device on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and gather information about how you use the site.
Some cookies are set by us directly. Others are set by third-party services that help us deliver the site.
Our website is a static site with minimal third-party services. We use very few cookies.
These are set automatically by Cloudflare, the infrastructure that serves this website. They are required for security and performance and cannot be switched off.
| Cookie name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Bot management. Distinguishes legitimate visitors from automated traffic to protect the site from abuse. | 30 minutes |
__cflb | Cloudflare | Load balancing. Routes your requests to the same server during a session for consistency. | Session |
We store one item in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie) to remember your response to our cookie notice.
| Key | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
cu_cookies | Christian Union | Records that you have acknowledged our cookie notice so we do not show it again. | Until you clear site data |
We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we add website analytics in the future, we will update this policy before doing so.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting platforms, or social media pixels on this website.
Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes the IP address and request metadata of every visitor in order to serve pages and protect the site from malicious traffic. This processing occurs regardless of your cookie preferences. For more information, see Cloudflare’s privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
We load typography from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). When your browser requests a font, Google’s servers receive your IP address and browser information. Google may use this data in accordance with their privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Google Fonts does not set cookies in your browser.
Our waitlist form is processed by Formspree. When you submit your email address, Formspree receives and stores it on our behalf. Formspree may set a session cookie to protect form submissions from spam. For more information, see Formspree’s privacy policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Cookie notice. When you first visit christianunion.co.uk, a notice at the bottom of the page explains our use of cookies. Clicking Accept records your acknowledgement in local storage. To reset this, clear your browser’s site data for christianunion.co.uk.
In your browser. All major browsers allow you to view, manage, block and delete cookies through your settings:
Blocking the Cloudflare cookies listed above may prevent the site from loading correctly.
We rely on the following bases under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and UK GDPR:
Strictly necessary cookies (Cloudflare): No consent is required. These are essential to deliver the service you have requested and are processed under our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website.
Local storage (cu_cookies): No consent is required. This key exists solely to record your response to the cookie notice and does not track you.
Google Fonts request: Processed under our legitimate interest in rendering the site correctly. No consent is required as no cookies are set and no tracking occurs.
Formspree: Processed only when you actively submit the waitlist form. The legal basis is your consent, given by voluntarily submitting your email address.
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal to websites. There is no agreed standard for how websites must respond. We do not use tracking technologies, so this signal has no practical effect on your experience of our site.
We update this policy when we add or remove cookies or when our practices change. The version number and date at the top of this document reflect the most recent revision.
